International Teaching Assistant (ITA) Program

ITA Undergraduate Opportunities

Gradstudents and mentors gathered on the grass

Are you an undergraduate student at the U who is curious about our global society, enjoy the richness of cross-cultural communication, and want to learn more about the people who represent the many cultures of our world? Have you had experiences with International TAs in your classes and want to get involved in their training and support?

The U's International Teaching Assistant Program is currently recruiting undergraduate students to work as mentors to international graduate students.

They will encourage them, teach them about American culture, and coach them about the academic lives of undergraduate students at the U.

The graduate students will share their life experiences and bring distinctive perspectives to the tasks involved in teaching and learning.

In an increasingly global society, the experience of collaborating with people of other cultures affords opportunities for learning that transcend traditional fields of study.
